Our ethos is provide everything you would expect at a best in class venue, however, importantly we do not prescribe the catering, entertainment, or final touches – rather we work closely with you to create a truly bespoke and personalised wedding.

Eastfields is a relaxed and intimate wedding venue with an emphasis on flexibility and individuality. At the heart of the Eastfields Farm estate is our large rustic Georgian brick barn with its vaulted roof and original features, which opens onto a raised lawn, and beyond that a 10 acre meadow atop a hill with views across the Bedfordshire countryside.
The Georgian vaulted barn, the luxury barn cottage accommodation, the split level bridal suite, the raised lawn and the meadow, are all exclusively yours for the duration of your event and offer the perfect foundations to create your special day.
Eastfields Farm Barns is located outside the historic village of Melchbourne just 20 minutes north of Bedford, and conveniently located for both the A1 and M1 trunk roads – in fact, for those flying off on honeymoon we are within 90mins of both London Heathrow and Birmingham International airports! Nestled in 30 acres of beautiful countryside the venue offers the perfect backdrop for any event.
Our venue comfortably seats 120 guests, plus additional evening guests.
In 2022 we finished the conversion of a number of our smaller barns into luxury cottage accommodation to compliment the split level one bedroom cottage that was already in place.
All our accommodation is set in vaulted ceiling barn conversions. Each offers double/twin rooms with ensuite facilities including luxury bedding and towels – and large kitchen diners that allow for a truly relaxed and laidback atmosphere.
Our accommodation is set across a 5 bed cottage with wonderful bifold doors and overlooking a duck pond, a 4 bed cottage with an open plan living space perfect for socialising and a 1 bed split level private honeymoon suite with balcony overlooking secluded gardens.
The 5 bed cottage has – one ensuite, then the other four rooms share two jack & jill bathroom suites. One bathroom has a bath with overhead shower, the other has walk in shower access.
The 4 bed cottage has – three ensuites, then the other room has access to a separate family bathroom with bath and overhead shower.
The split level private honeymoon suite has – a fully equipped kitchen and lounge downstairs, with the whole of the upstairs put to the high vaulted bedroom and ensuite, with a balcony across secluded gardens.
Our cottages are located at the venue making it ideal for the bridal party to prepare for the big day, for the married couple to get away at the end of the day, and for everyone to enjoy a relaxed start the next morning.
The luxury cottages allows you to take some spectacular photos as you get ready for your special day.
Eastfields Farm is currently not licensed to conduct legal wedding ceremonies however there is the option to host a blessing at the venue.
Blessings are short ceremonies which can be tailored and personalised to you and are a great way to demonstrate your commitment in front of your friends and family on the big day. Although not a legal ceremony, blessings are just like one – they have no rules attached so can take place at any time and location of your choice – whether that be outside in the meadow or within the Georgian brick barn. The choices are endless.

As well as allowing couples the option to choose their own catering, we have looked to make this super simple by partnering up with two great caterers who can provide an end to end service. Both have a great reputation for their work here, are flexible and happy to discuss menu alterations, and their prices include all equipment, cutlery, crockery and serving staff – so everything need to complete your package!
In addition to allowing couples to bring their own table wines under a corkage arrangement, we also stock an exceptional range of wines for you to choose from if you wish. We select our range each season and host a fun wine tasting event allowing you to choose your favourites beforehand!

Yes – we have recently enhanced our accomodtion offering with the converstion of a number of barns into luxury cottage accomodation.
All our cottage accomodation offers double/twin rooms with bathroom, luxury bedding and towels.
The 5 bed cottage has its own garden, views across the pond, and wheelchair access to selected rooms. One room has ensuite, then the other rooms share two jack and jill bathrooms – one has a family bath with over head shower, the other offers walk in shower.
The 4 bed cottage has three ensuite bedrooms, and one bedroom has access to a separte family bathroom with bath and overhead shower.
Our beautiful split level honeymoon cottage, is private, with one large with vaulted bedroom, ensuite bathroo, and a balcony.
There is also the option to use the meadow for glamping if your guests are happy to spend a night under canvas! We keep a flat area mowed and available for this purpose.

As part of our wedding package couples have the choice of bringing their own wine until after the wedding breakfast or you can choose from our range of wines. In any event, we will run a wine tasting event with you, before the big day,so that you can make the right choice.
In any event, we will have two bars operating across the venuw – our main bar in the Georgian barn, and the horsebox bar by the lawn – to ensure you guests are fully provided for.
If you choose to bring your own wine for the wedding breakfast, a corkage fee will apply.
Yes – there is guest parking for up to 30 cars at the farm. Our team will direct cars to a secluded area to ensure they are out of sight.
Please note some parking may be on uneven surfaces with limited lighting at night. Guests can leave their cars overnight as long as they are collected by 10am on the following day.
Vehicles and contents are left at owners risk.
Yes – Live bands and discos are permitted within Georgian barn.
Yes – we can recommend local taxis that know our venue well.
At the top of the driveway, there is a taxi turning area allowing guests to easily depart.
The venue is very easy to find. MK44 1BL in googlemaps will bring a taxi right to the venue.
